Unlike larger programs where you're just a number, Magna Performance provides truly personalized coaching with only 3 dedicated coaches managing around 200 athletes. You get real relationships, direct communication, and programming that adapts to YOUR specific needs—not generic templates. We focus on the whole athlete: training, nutrition, mental game, lifestyle, and even recruiting guidance. Our coaches have trained at every major facility in the space and built Magna to fill the gaps they saw: real mentorship, not just spreadsheets.
After an initial discovery call, we conduct a comprehensive evaluation covering your movement quality, strength, throwing mechanics, nutrition habits, and mental approach. Then we build a custom program delivered through our training app. You get daily workouts with video demonstrations, movement analysis with coach feedback, direct messaging with your coach, and regular check-ins. Think of it as having a coach in your pocket—one who actually knows your name, your goals, and your schedule.
Our athletes are typically high school, JUCO, D2, D3, and NAIA players who are hungry to reach the next level. They're the players already putting in work but not seeing the results they want. If you're stuck, grinding hard but spinning your wheels, and want coaches who actually know your name and care about your development—Magna is built for you. Yes, recruiting guidance is part of our mentorship approach. Our coaches have been through the recruiting process themselves and help athletes navigate every step—from creating effective highlight videos and building a prospect profile, to communicating with college coaches and understanding which programs are the right fit for your skills and goals. We help with the baseball AND the life stuff, because getting to the next level requires both.
We offer different program tiers based on your needs and goals. Rather than listing prices that might not fit your situation, we prefer to have a conversation first. The basics: access to a gym with standard equipment (barbells, dumbbells, cables, pull-up bar), a phone or camera for recording video, and space to throw. For throwing-specific work, we'll specify any weighted balls or implements you need based on your program. We'll work with what you have access to and can modify programming accordingly. Many of our athletes train at school facilities, local gyms, or home setups. During your evaluation, we'll assess your equipment situation and build your program around it.
You have direct messaging access to your coach through our app—no gatekeepers, no waiting for scheduled calls. Most athletes check in daily or every few days with questions, form videos, or updates. We do formal check-ins weekly to review progress, adjust programming, and address any concerns. But the real value is the ongoing conversation: when something feels off, when you hit a PR, when you have a question at 9pm—your coach is there. This isn't a program you download and figure out alone.
Absolutely—and this is where individualized programming really matters. In-season training looks completely different from off-season development. We adjust volume, intensity, and focus to maintain your gains, support recovery, and keep you performing at your best when it counts. We also work around your game and practice schedule, travel, and how your arm and body are feeling. The goal is enhancing your season performance, not detracting from it. Many athletes continue with us year-round, and we shift programming as the calendar demands.
Results depend on your starting point, how consistently you follow the program, and how long you commit. That said, our athletes typically see measurable improvements in velocity, strength, movement quality, and body composition within 3-6 months of consistent work. More importantly, they develop the habits, knowledge, and self-awareness to keep improving long after they're done working with us. We're not just building your engine—we're teaching you how to drive it, fuel it, and maintain it. Hard work without direction is wasted; we provide the direction.
